Crimson Chaise — Miss V (2021)
“Crimson Chaise” recalls the visual language of classical portraiture yet subverts it through self-possession and gaze. The subject commands the space — poised, unapologetic, and luminous against the deep red of the chaise. The work oscillates between reverence and defiance, between intimacy and performance. A contemporary study of presence, identity, and control.
