Matena Strasse (2014)

In Matena Strasse — Duisburg (2014), an underpass in the Ruhr city transforms into a whispering landscape of concrete and light. The hollow, sculptural pillars carry a thin ribbon of neon that traces the curve of the road and draws the eye toward emptiness. There is no traffic, no human presence — only the skin of concrete, fallen leaves, and the echo of an industrial past.
