Muzzled Gaze (2022)
Shot in the decaying remains of a former Russian military site in Vogelsang, near Berlin, “Muzzled Gaze” confronts the politics of silence and control. The portrait is both intimate and defiant: the restrained body meets an unwavering stare. The harness and rope become language — a negotiation between consent, containment, trust, and exposure. What looks at first like captivity also reads as a claimed position of power.
